Pyramids of Giza, Egypt

Description

The pyramids of Giza, Egypt showing The Great Pyramid, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Cheops. Built in 2560 BC and is the oldest and largest Pyramid of the Giza Necropolis, Egypt

A breathtaking, wide-angle view of the Giza pyramid complex. The image features a striking alignment of the pyramids, with the prominent Pyramid of Khafre easily identifiable in the center by the remaining smooth casing stones at its peak. In the foreground, the stepped, rugged ruins of smaller satellite pyramids (often known as the Queens' Pyramids) show the immense, individual stone blocks used in their construction. In the lower left, a tiny group of people riding camels and horses traverses the vast expanse of golden desert sand, perfectly illustrating the colossal, awe-inspiring scale of these ancient monuments. The scene is bathed in bright daylight under a soft, hazy sky.
